Students develop technical skills to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Skills include:
- Accurately performing pharmaceutical math computations
- Transferring medication from vials to syringes
- Verifying written prescriptions or requests for refills
- Maintaining proper storage and security for drugs
- Filling bottles with prescribed medications
- Preparing labels for containers
- Monitoring robots that fill prescriptions and
- Preparing insurance claim forms
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Board Certification for Pharmacy Technicians.

- Pharmaceutical Calculation and Dosages

- Pharmacy Work-based Experience
