Health Careers is designed for high school juniors, seniors,
or adult students who are interested in a health care career.
The majority of the Health Careers Program is student-centered
(meaning the student is responsible for their own learning)
with a clearly defined plan of individual study. Student-centered
curriculum will be presented in a modular format and facilitated
by the instructor. Program content will be individually designed
for each student.
The program covers a broad set of studies which are basic
to all health care occupations, and helps the student narrow
their focus to one or more specific occupations. It is comprised
of classroom work, skills practice, and rotations of experience
in clinical settings.
The program also focuses on leadership training through the
student organization Health Occupations Students of America.
This program is a one or two year course of study, depending
on the individual needs and goals of the student. Students
may receive high school credit in science and math by attending
and successfully completing specific courses in the program.

Any materials or equipment common to the health occupations
