RIGHTS UNDER THE FAMILY EDUCATION RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT
(FERPA)
Enrolled students and parents of enrolled students (under
age 18) may request certain information under the Family Education
Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by contacting the Financial
Aid office.
COMPLETION/GRADUATION RATES
Students must complete 1,050 hours of training with a 77%
or higher to receive a completion certificate.
INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION
- Tuition and Fees -- Estimated book/supply expenses
for full-time adult programs in the medical field range
from $500 to $1,500. Estimated book/supply expenses for
all other full-time post-secondary adult programs range
from $50 to $750, depending on the program of choice. Out
of district post-secondary adult program tuition is double
the rates stated above. Books and supply charges are not
included in tuition.
- Refund Policy -- Upon written notification of withdrawal,
a tuition refund less the nonrefundable deposit fee will
be remitted to individuals enrolled in full-time programs
according to the following guidelines. A 100 percent refund,
less the nonrefundable deposit, will be remitted to students
who officially withdraw within the first five days of a
payment period. No tuition will be refunded to a student
who attends more than five days of a payment period. Written
notice of withdrawal is considered to be a completed official
withdrawal form or a letter from the student, which is dated,
signed and addressed to the Assistant Superintendent of
Instruction. All deposits, books, and supply charges are
nonrefundable.

- Academic support and career tech programs -- Information

- Special services and facilities for disabled students
-- Meridian Technology Center's facilities are accessible
to disabled students. In addition, programs and instructional
materials are adapted based upon expressed need(s) of the
disabled student. Disabled students requiring special equipment
or other special arrangements should notify a Meridian Technology
Center counselor upon enrollment.

STUDENTS RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- A student has the right to:
· Know what financial aid programs are available.
· Know the deadlines for applying for financial aid.
· Know how financial aid will be disbursed,
how decisions are made and the basis for the decisions.
· Know how financial aid need was determined. (This
includes how costs for tuition and fees, room and board,
travel, books and supplies, and personal and miscellaneous
expenses, etc., are considered in the student budget.)
· Know what resources (such as parental contribution,
other financial aid, assets, etc.) are considered in the
calculation of need.
· Know how much financial need, as determined by
the institution, has been met.
· Request an explanation of the various programs
in the student financial aid package.
· Know what portion of the financial aid received
must be repaid and what portion is grant aid. If the aid
is a loan, a student has a right to know the interest rate,
the total amount that must be repaid, the repayment procedures,
the length of time allowed to repay the loan and when repayment
is to begin.
· Know the school's refund policy.
· Know how the school determines a student's satisfactory
progress and the action taken if satisfactory progress
is not maintained.
- A student has the responsibility to:
· Complete and submit all application forms on time.
· Provide correct information. (In most instances
falsely reporting information on financial aid application
forms is a violation of law and may be considered a criminal
offense, which could result in indictment under the U.S.
Criminal Code.)
· Return all documentation, verification, corrections
and/or new information requested by either the Financial
Aid Office and/or supporting agency.
· Be responsible for reading and understanding all
forms/documents requested to sign.
· Accept responsibility for any and all agreements
signed.
· Be aware of and comply with the deadlines for application
or reapplication for all financial aid.
· Be aware of the school's refund policies and procedures
