| To ensure that your application
will be considered for all available financial assistance, please
follow the steps below.
STEP ONE: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid
Application for federal and state financial aid is made by
completing a congressionally approved needs analysis application.
The Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
is available January 1 each year in the Meridian Technology
Center Financial Aid Office, and at most high schools, colleges
and universities. A renewal application will be mailed to
students who received aid during the previous year.
If you are an Oklahoma resident, you will also be considered
for the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG) program. OTAG is
awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
List Meridian Technology Center as the school you plan to
attend in Section G of the FAFSA. The Title IV School Code
is 012474.
STEP TWO: Submit the completed FAFSA for processing
- Mail the completed FAFSA form directly to the Federal
Student Aid Process Center in the envelope provided by the
FAFSA.
OR
- Bring your completed FAFSA to the Financial Aid Office
at Meridian Technology Center for electronic submission.
OR
- Complete your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
STEP THREE: Wait for a Response
Depending upon the method utilized to submit the FAFSA, a
Student
Aid Report will be provided to you in approximately
3-6 weeks. Additional information may be requested to complete
your financial aid file.
STEP FOUR: Award Notification
The Financial Aid Office can give you an estimate of your
Pell Grant award once your financial aid file has been completed.
You and your family may use this letter to begin to develop
a plan for paying your educational expenses. Official award
letters are sent when you have completed the enrollment process.
