Precision Metal Fabrication
A two-year program that covers the key components of the metal fabricating and precision welding fields that also offers specialized, short-term training for business and industry.

The Precision Metal Fabrication program uses industrial quality equipment and a hands-on approach for preparing students to step right into this highly rewarding field.

Developed in cooperation with the region's leading manufacturers, the program trains students in the skills needed to become members of one of the highest paying segments of manufacturing.

Course materials are constantly reviewed and evaluated to ensure that training exceeds the needs of a dynamic industry.

Students in Meridian's Precision Metal Fabrication program gain hands-on experience with the same equipment being used by today's leading manufacturers. Graduates earn Certificates of Completion while training in advanced techniques.

TRAINING FOR INDUSTRY
The Precision Metal Fabrication program serves business and industry by providing skills upgrade training for current employees and work force training for new and expanding operations. Customized training is available for specific manufacturing processes or equipment operation.

SKILLS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS

  • Good eye-hand coordination
  • Strong reading and math skills (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of both common and decimal fractions
  • Physical ability to lift, stoop and adapt to temperature variations
  • Completion of a basic welding training program or industry experience
