The instruction process is accomplished through didactic lecture, laboratory skills, clinical skills, and field experience. Students will experience clinical rotations through hospitals and paramedic-level ambulance services.
This training requires successful completion of clinical rotations in several areas including a critical care unit, emergency department, labor and delivery, psychiatric, emergency medical services, and dialysis. It also includes a physician internship in an emergency department and an emergency medical services internship with an advanced life support ambulance unit.
