The Center for Business Development is based on providing our clients the services and advice they need to make their business more successful. As part of the service offerings, we also have office or light manufacturing facilities available.

We offer three kinds of client relationship:

1. Virtual Tenants: Clients who utilize services but do not rent space at the CBD.
   • Example Virtual Tenants: Entrepreneurs with a concept that is not fully developed or newly established companies in another facility seeking peer and business expertise
2. Residential Tenants: Clients who utilize services and rent space at the CBD.
• Example Residential Tenants: Companies that are near product launch stage or have a product they are actively selling.
3. Clients who work with us on short term hourly fee basis

Clients can move easily from being a Virtual Tenant to a Residential Tenant once their business is ready. Or perhaps a Residential Tenant has graduated from the incubator, yet still wants to remain a client as a virtual tenant.

Regardless of whether you are a Virtual Tenant or Residential Tenant, you are treated the same and pushed towards the same goal: to make you and your business successful.

While a client of the CBD, companies have an opportunity to learn sound business practices, fine tune their product or service offering and make valuable contacts.

In addition to the rich dynamics created by a community of start-ups at a similar stage of development, the Center for Business Development offers the following fundamentals:

• Broadband Internet access

The State of Oklahoma provides special tax incentives for incubator clients. The Center for Business Development is an Oklahoma Department of Commerce certified business incubator, which qualifies resident clients who are in good standing in the incubation program or approved graduates of a incubator program for a 5-year, state income tax exemption, with an additional 5-year exemption for businesses which do a majority of their sales outside of Oklahoma.
